Initiated as a book object in 2022, To Know a Fly established a material and structural point of departure for a growing group of related works. Its pages, folds, bindings, covers, printed motifs, and internal sequences are not treated as fixed components of a completed object, but as conditions from which further forms can emerge. Through separation, repetition, enlargement, folding, binding, and spatial reconfiguration, a limited set of elements develops into distinct works across image, object, and space. The project therefore functions both as an independent artwork and as a generative structure—an origin that remains active rather than being left behind.
